Awesome Job Jr Team!

Our Jr team went down to Temecula and took third place! We also want to welcome Gavin and Chad to the team. This was their first taste of Bible quizzing and we are proud of them. We are also proud of Beth who was the highest scoring individual in one of their quizzes and placed 5th in the all tournament team. Bro Schmidt is doing a great Job with the Jr team. We thank him for all his hard work! More info and pics will be posted as we get them.

To the parents
We are almost there. After so many months of quizzing, no doubt some are getting a little tired. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
For those who have become fatigued and feel they can't force their child to learn another verse let me say I FEEL YOU PAIN! I may be the only one feeling like this but in case there are others, I want to encourage us to finish out the year strong. We have one last out-of-town tournament (unless we go to nationals). We then have Finals, the last tournament, here in Arroyo Grande. This time they get to drive four to five hours to come to a tournament. We did well at extravaganza but if we want the same or better results we have to review and make sure our children are learning their verses. If you have fallen behind, don't give up, get caught up and review, review, review. I am writing this for my own benefit also. Lets finish Strong!

Keep up the good work!

Greetings Arroyo Grande Quiz teams!
Extravaganza is right around the corner. We have worked hard and spent many hours in study time and memorization. Whatever happens I want to say that we are proud of you. To make it this far in the quiz year is an accomplishment! Keep up the good work! I believe God has great things in store for you. Let God sit on the throne of your heart and he will take care of the rest. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are excited to tackle every challenge head on with the help of the Lord! Keep up the good work quizzers. Parents just think, your child has learned about 100 verses!!!!!!! WOW! =0

God Bless You

We also had some stressful excitement. Our beginner 2 team (the “A” team) went into overtime. Everyone was hitting; AJ with 20 points, Alden with 30 points and Aimee with a strong 50 points. This tied the game and took us into overtime. Everyone was focused; then Alden got the next two of three twenties and sealed the game. The ending score was 150 to 140 with Arroyo Grande 2 on top.
